Here’s how Mozilla describes Firefox Home:

Firefox HomeFirefox Home provides access to your Firefox desktop history, bookmarks and open tabs on your iPhone. Get up and go and have exactly what you are looking for on the Web on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Firefox Home uses your browser data, securely synced from Firefox on your desktop to the cloud, to let you search and browse quickly and efficiently. You can view the sites you want directly in Firefox Home, open them in Mobile Safari or share them with friends via email.”

Step 1: Install and set up a Firefox Sync account on your desktop. Of course, if you’ve already done this, just skip to Step 2.

1. Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Firefox Sync page, and click Add to Firefox.
2. When you have finished installing Firefox Sync, click Restart Firefox. Firefox will restart with the Add-ons window open.
3. In the Add-ons window, click Options to open the Sync panel.
4. Click Set Up Firefox Sync.
5. Click I’ve never used Sync before.
6. Create a username and password. Enter your email address, and check “I agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy”. Click Next to continue.
7. Create a secret phrase, then click Next. The secret phrase is what Firefox Sync uses to encrypt your data before it sends it to the server, keeping your data more secure.
8. Choose what information to sync. By default, Firefox Sync will sync everything. We strongly recommend that you use this setting for the best experience. For Advanced Users, if you really want to customize your settings, you can click on Sync Everything and set it to Use my custom settings to pick which items to sync, then click Next.
9. Enter text from the image, then click Next.
10. You will see a Setup Complete! message. Click Finish to close the setup window and take you back to the Sync panel.
11. You do not need to do anything else. Firefox Sync will automatically sync your data in the background from here on. Note: The initial sync may take up to 24 hours.

Step 2: Download Firefox Home and connect it to your Firefox Sync account.

1. On your iPhone or iPod Touch, go to the App Store and download the free Firefox Home app.
2. When you launch the app, you’ll be presented with a screen that lets you get an email with setup instructions or log in. Since you’ve already set up Firefox Sync in the steps above, go ahead and choose I Have A Sync Account.
3. Enter your Firefox Sync username, password and Secret Phrase.
4. Once you’ve logged in, Firefox Home will begin copying all of your information from your Firefox Sync account. This will take a few moments or longer the first time.
